November 17. Almaty. Republic Square.

It's became slightly warm, the snow has thawn, on open land there were much birds. Majority of them were common background birds: Carrion and Hooded Crows, Rooks, Mynahs, Blackbirds, House Sparrows, Great Tits. Still there are a bit of Chaffinches, today I saw only two Chaffinches fed in flight together with House Sparrows. Twice I observed Goldcrests and once the Laughing Dove. The most interesting today's observation is Lesser Whitethroat. Last departing Lesser Whitethroats observed in the middle of October. Now is the middle of November already. Probably, this Lesser Whitethroat will winter. Whitethroat behaves timidly enough, keeps separately; in occurrence of aggressive Mynahs or sociable Sparrows, Whitethroat calms down and hides. It tried to find forage mostly on a thuja.
