Description


Please see the page of Common Cuckoo (Cuculus canorus). The characters of the race: General colour lighter than canorus. Sizes lesser. Male wing length 206-224 (216), female 191-229 (205) mm.

Distribution


Breeding both on plains and in mountains of southern half of Kazakhstan, north up to lower reaches of Ural river, northern coast of Aral Sea, lower reaches of Syrdarya valley, Balkhash and Alakol’ lakes. Here occurs on migration too.
