Description. The upper parts and the crown are lighter; the black streaks on the mantle are narrower than on montanus.

Distribution. Breeds in the southern half of Kazakhstan in north roughly to 48-49 parallel. Regularly in a little number migrates on Chokpak Pass, where it was caught on March 3 - May 23 on spring migration, and on September 16 - October 26 on autumn one.
